metaFAB Xtreme Laser Facility provides a World Unique platform for scientific and application orientated investigations using femtosecond and 157nm & 193nm DUV laser machining.
FP7
We are particulalrly interested in collaborations within FP7 propositions, especially within the applications field of microfluidics, lab-on-a-chip and photonics applications. metaFAB would participate as an academic partner and is able in many instances to introduce SME and large corporate industrial partners. CALL David Barrow to discuss.
DTI/EPSRC/BBSRC/MRC
The metaFAB XLF scientific prgramme is continuously seeking to expand its knowledge base on baseline machining processes and further innovations in process development and applications to meet the need for increasingly complex geometries and surface features. metaFAB XLF can be incorporated as a partner on UK research council and DTI projects and contracts. CALL David Barrow to discuss.
Industrial Contract R&D and Manufacturing
The backbone of activity at the metaFAB XLF is towards client based R&D, prototypoing and limited volume manufacture. Special rates are available for automated, off-peak processing. CALL David Barrow to discuss.
Fast Track MicroFoundry
A number of clients requiring different design iterations of prototype microfluidic chips have been provided with a processing arrangement whereby electronically delivered CAD files can be quicky translated to next day shipped devices, using customer specific processes and substrates. CALL David Barrow to discuss possibilities.
Visiting Scientists
The metaFAB XLF is available to sponsored visiting scientists from both academe and industry to work within the scope of existing investigations and/or entirely new orientations that develops new processes and/or applications. CALL David Barrow to discuss.
